BMW M5 E34 and BMW M5 E34 Touring

BMW M5 E34 Sedan & Touring

The BMW E34 M5 is the second generation M5 developed by BMW Motorsport. It is powered by the S38 twin-cam 24-valve inline-six engine, developing no more than 340 hp...in a family sedan! It also has a BMW Motorsport-tuned chassis and a few special cosmetic pieces. The BMW M5 E34 Touring was the first ever Touring developed by the M Gmbh. It offered a larger load capacity and if you like an even greater degree of exclusivity: only 891 were built.

BMW M5 E28

BMW M5 E28. The first M5!

The BMW M5 E28 is quite unique. It is the first BMW M5 and for this it will always be remembered! When it was presented in early 1985 it was the best in it's class, the sports car in disguise. The figures are able to prove this: engine output, 286HP (European version) and 0-100km/h in 6.5 seconds. The car was built by hand, one at a time, at BMW motorsport using the standard BMW 5 Series body shell. Fasten your seatbelts: the time for high performance sedans has come!

BMW M635CSi E24

BMW M635CSi E24

Based on the BMW E24 6 Series, the BMW Motorsport developed its own version of this already beautiful and powerful GT. This version is known as the M635CSi. Although never labeled officially as an M model in Europe, all North American versions were officially named "M6", both to simplify the name and to bring it in line with the other M models, specifically the M3 and M5 at that time.

BMW M535i E12

BMW M535i E12

Introduced in 1979 at the Frankfurt motor show, the BMW M535i E12 was the only model from the E12 range developed by M Gmbh. Besides an improved chassis and some aerodynamic trims, the most important upgrade was the engine.  The 3.5-liter M30 inline-six was taken from the E23 735i and E24 635CSi models. European-spec E12 M535i models were partially assembled on the normal 5 Series production line at Dingolfing then hand-finished at the BMW Motorsport facility on the Preussenstrasse in Munich.

BMW M1 E26

The legendary BMW M1, the only BMW mid engine car

The BMW M1 was built with a precise purpose: BMW needed homologation for Group 4 and Group 5 racing. In the end 455 pieces of this legendary car were built, making it right from the start a collector’s dream. The great style is backed up by an excellent engine developed by BMW Motorsport division. With a 0-100km/h sprint in less than 6 seconds the BMW M1 E26 was one of the fastest cars of that times but still an icon for the present and future times.

BMW 3 Series and 1 Series engines update

BMW 3 Series range

The entire BMW 3 Series range was revised in terms of engines and the 1 Series was updated with new and more efficient versions. Behind BMW EfficientDynamics lies a package of intelligent features which reduce emissions and improve fuel consumption while also boosting performance. The 3 Series is one of the first BMWs to offer innovative technologies such as the new Auto Start Stop function, Brake Energy Regeneration and a host of drive train modifications.

BMW M5 E61 Touring: it can move your loads...quickly!

BMW M5 E61 Touring

Powered by the back-to-back International Engine of the Year-winning engine driving through BMW’s unique seven-speed Sequential Manual Gearbox, the new BMW M5 E61 Touring offers up to 1,650 litres of boot space for owners needing to move sizeable loads…… quickly. With 4.8 seconds (0.1 seconds slower than the M5 Sedan) needed to reach 155mph, the BMW M5 E61 is the ultimate Touring!

BMW M5 E60 Sedan here at BMWDrives

BMW M5 E60 Sedan

The ultimate in sports saloon motoring has got a name: BMW M5. This BMW M5 E60 is the most powerful of all time: five litres of cubic capacity, ten cylinders, a maximum output of 507 bhp (373 kW), a peak torque of 520 Newton metres and engine speeds redlining at 8,000 rpm, these are figures that speak for themselves. In an unprecedented way, these figures blur the lines between a car for everyday use and a vehicle for ambitious motor sport racing.
